Trip 013 - Complete Skyline Track (Bullring - Flagstaff - Swampy - Mt Cargill - Organ Pipes)

With the creation of the Cloud Forests of Leith and Escarpment Tracks between Leith Saddle and Mt Cargill in the 2000’s a traverse along Dunedin’s northern skyline became a reality.

Seven separate tracks make up this trip: Flagstaff Walkway, Swampy Ridge, Leith Saddle Track, Cloud Forests of Leith, Escarpment Track, A.H. Reed Track, Mt Cargill/Organ Pipes Track. Three high points are also traversed, Flagstaff, Swampy Summit & Mt Cargill.

The first time the club ran this trip was in 2003, during the early days of the formation of the Cloud Forests of Leith and Escarpment Tracks. Three subsequent trips were run between 2016 & 2018.

The trip will start from the Bullring and head to the Organ Pipes, finishing at Mt Cargill Road.
