The OTMC has run around 70 trips that have in part included Signal Hill. The second OTC day trip on September 8, 1923 was one of these, although it appears to have followed Signal Hill Road to the true Signal Hill, and then down through Burkes to the harbour road.

This trip is a variation on that, starting at Opoho Creek and following various tracks until we get to the track that leads to the streets of Ravensbourne.

Returning via the shared Te Aka Ōtākou - Dunedin Harbour Cycleway completes the loop.
