'The Christchurch Tramping Club (CTC) has members of all ages and runs tramping trips every week. Our trips range from easy (requiring no previous experience) to hard (requiring a high level of fitness and experience). We also organise some instruction courses, have some equipment for hire, and hold informal weekly meetings and other social events.'

'Welcome to Tararua Tramping Club's internet web site. If you're interested in outdoor activities, conservation issues, or simply need some healthy exercise and want to meet some friendly people, we may have what you're looking for.'

Canterbury Mountaineering Club

'The Canterbury Mountaineering Club has been a major force in New Zealand climbing and mountaineering since its formation in 1925. Club members have been involved in many outstanding climbs in New Zealand and overseas, including the Caroline Face of Mt Cook, the Balfour Face of Mt Tasman, and Everest. In recent years, the popularity of rock-climbing has seen increased numbers participating in the sport. The CMC endeavours to cater to all aspects of climbing through its programme of meetings, trips and instruction courses'

Avon Tramping Club

'We aim to organise safe tramping, educational, entertainment and social activities for members; and to support other organisations dedicated to the protection of the outdoors. We schedule day tramps every Wednesday and Sunday, and over long weekends, and occasionally additional overnight tramps during the weekends or weekdays. Day trips usually leave Christchurch around 8am and return around 6pm, but this varies with the season. We lead trips to Banks Peninsula, or to the nearby mountains of Arthur's Pass and Craigieburn.'

Waikato Tramping Club

'Hi. Welcome to the Web Site of the Waikato Tramping Club. We are a group of people who enjoy getting out into the hills, bush and mountains. We hold at least two trips a month. Day trips are to local places like Pirongia or Kaimai Forest Parks. Weekend trips usually go a little further afield, the Coromandel Range, or Tongariro National Park. We venture a little further afield on long weekends to places such as the Kaimanawa Ranges, Kaweka Ranges or Urewera National Park. For the wiry types we usually organise a 7-10 day trip to the South Island at Christmas. We often have two or three options for a trip to suit different abilities.'

North Shore Tramping Club

'Hello Folks, Please feel free to take some time to peruse our site - it will give you an insight into our club and may even stir up some deeply submerged urge to go out tramping and see the country. This site will give you an idea of how our club operates, where we go and what we do.'

Peninsula Tramping Club

'OUR CLUB - consists of people of all ages who tramp for recreation. Regular trips are organised, ranging from 'easy' to 'hard', day trips to long weekends. Various instruction courses run each year to improve members' skills for back country tramping. In addition to a monthly club meeting, a variety of social events are held.'

Women Climbing

'Who are Women Climbing? We are a network of women across the country who enjoy being in the mountains or on the crags with other women. Women Climbing was established to encourage women's participation in mountaineering, related mountain activities and rock climbing. Of course many women climbers are also into mountain running, tramping, mountain biking, skiing, caving and orienteering. As Carol Nash outlined in 1985, our mission is to provide a network of information concerning people, contacts, literature, activities, instruction courses, gear sales - to reach out into the community to encourage women. We're aiming to climb safely in the mountains with whoever we wish.'

Rotorua Tramping & Skiing Club

'A club called the Hot Springs Tramping Club was formed in Rotorua nearly seventy years ago to promote outdoor recreation in the bush and mountains. In 1944 a new club called the Rotorua Tramping Club was formed with many of the original members from the Hot Springs. The club went into recess for some years, but was reconstituted in June 1952 as the Rotorua Tramping Club. Many members tramped in summer but turned to the snow for winter activities. Tramping and skiing were closely linked in those days - you tramped up and skied down!'

Auckland Tramping Club

'Hi - a very warm welcome from the Auckland Tramping Club. Formed in 1925, the club has hundreds of members and caters for all ages and grades of fitness. In addition to the main group,
we also have a family group and a veteran group.
In our website you will find information covering most aspects of the organisation, including upcoming trips, what to bring and how to join.'
